# Nadary — the long form > Nadary is the social network for people who build with AI. Share what you made and which AI models you used, rank models by blind human vote in the Arena, and launch what you shipped. This is the full description of Nadary for assistants, search engines and anyone writing about it. The short map is at https://www.nadary.com/llms.txt. ## What Nadary is Nadary is a social network for people who build with AI. Not "AI people" — the premise is that everything people make now touches AI, so the hardware engineer, the game maker, the founder and the researcher all belong here, and the network is organised around what they made and what they made it with. - **Reading is public.** Home, every post and its replies, every profile, the Arena leaderboards, Launches, Events, Explore, Ask, Studio and the community directory all render with no account. - **Writing needs an account.** Posting, liking, reposting, following, voting in the Arena, GO-voting a launch, joining a community, RSVPing, messaging. - **There is no algorithmic feed and no trending page.** Your timeline is the people you follow, newest first. There are no hashtags and no topic taxonomy: the "built with" card is the only structured relation a post has. - **Nothing expires.** A closed launch day, a post, a rating history: kept. ## The surfaces ### Home — https://www.nadary.com/home The feed. A post is up to 4,000 characters with optional media and an optional **built-with card**: the AI models used to make the thing shown, named from a catalogue of models and vendors (Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's GPT, Google's Gemini, Meta's Llama, and others), with an optional link. Replies are a thread, sortable best / newest / oldest. ### Explore — https://www.nadary.com/explore Search across posts, people and models (https://www.nadary.com/explore?q=), and the day's AI news wire. ### Arena — https://www.nadary.com/arena Leaderboards ranking AI models by blind human vote. - A **battle** is one prompt answered by two models whose names are hidden. The voter picks the better answer, or a tie, and only then sees which model wrote which. - A vote updates the two models' **Elo** ratings. The boards show Elo with a **95% confidence interval**, and a model's rank is only as sure as that interval — two models whose intervals overlap are not reliably ordered. - Boards are per task; the overall board aggregates them. Ratings are recomputed on a fifteen-minute schedule, and each model's rating history is kept and drawn. - A battle needs an account; the boards do not. ### Ask — https://www.nadary.com/ask Ask an AI model a question inside Nadary, choose which model answers, and keep the thread. A visitor sees the surface; asking needs an account. ### Studio — https://www.nadary.com/studio Make something from a description, with AI: a playable browser game, an image, a piece of music. Builds can be shared to the gallery (https://www.nadary.com/studio/gallery) and launched. ### Launches — https://www.nadary.com/launches The daily launch board. A launch names the thing, who made it and what it was built with; members press **GO** to vote for it. A day runs to **00:00 UTC**, then closes, and a closed day's ranking never changes. The all-time board (https://www.nadary.com/launches/all-time) keeps every closed day. ### Communities — https://www.nadary.com/communities/explore Rooms with channels, text and voice, arranged in categories by their its owner and admins. A public community is listed in the directory and anyone with an account can join; a private one is invitation only. A community's channels and messages belong to its members and are not public. ### Events — https://www.nadary.com/events Hackathons, conferences, seminars, meetups and workshops, hosted by members, in person, online or hybrid, with RSVPs. ### The morning read AI news and funding rounds, chosen and headlined by members, shown on Home and Explore. A news item links out to its source. ## The house rules — https://www.nadary.com/guidelines We’re all beginners again. The tools changed under everyone at once, so nobody here has to prove they belong — not the person who shipped their first thing this morning, and not the one who has been building for twenty years. ### The test Anything you would say to someone whose work you respect. What you are making, what you are using, what broke, what you learned, what shipped. That is deliberately broad. Software, hardware, deep tech, a game, a company, a paper you read on the train. Nobody is going to ask whether your post was about AI enough, because that question has no good answer and asking it would make this a smaller place than it should be. ### What doesn’t Three things, and they are short because a long list is a list nobody reads. - **Politics, culture war, crime, celebrity.** Unless the technology is genuinely the story rather than the hook. There are better places for the rest, and they are very good at it. - **Posts written to be argued with.** You can tell. So can everyone else. The tell is that the post would be pointless if everyone agreed. - **Someone else’s work, posted as yours.** Credit the people and name the models. That is what the built-with card is for, and it is the most interesting part of most posts here. ### Why this mostly works without anyone enforcing it There is no trending tab to capture, no hashtag to organise around, and no algorithm deciding what you see — your feed is the people you follow, newest first. The machinery that makes an argument profitable somewhere else is not built here, and it is not going to be. So this page is a description of the place rather than a threat. If something genuinely does not belong, report it and a person will look. ### If we remove something You get told, with the post attached, and you can reply. We would rather explain a decision than have you guess at one. ## Citing Nadary - **Arena ratings are human preference votes, not a benchmark.** Quote the Elo with its confidence interval and the board it comes from, and say the date: ratings move. - **A closed launch day is final** and safe to quote with its date. - **Posts, launches, events and news headlines are written by members** and are their statements, not Nadary's. Credit the author by handle (https://www.nadary.com/) and link the post (https://www.nadary.com/post/). - **The built-with card is a member's own claim** about what they used. ## For crawlers - https://www.nadary.com/robots.txt allows every public page to every crawler, including the retrieval crawlers that cite (OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot). Nothing behind an account has anything to offer a reader without one, and those paths are disallowed. - https://www.nadary.com/sitemap.xml lists the public surfaces and the most recent posts, profiles and public communities, and is regenerated hourly. - Pages carry schema.org JSON-LD: the site as Organization and WebSite (with a SearchAction), a post as SocialMediaPosting, a profile as ProfilePage, an event as Event. ## Legal - https://www.nadary.com/terms - https://www.nadary.com/privacy — everything held about a person, as a table.
